This policy explains what STR Cleaning App collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website, strcleaning.app, and the app at my.strcleaning.app.
Who we are
STR Cleaning App is made and operated by DOSbnb ("we", "us"). For anything about your data, email hello@strcleaning.app.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, company and role.
- Property and booking details from the booking systems you connect: property addresses, check-out and check-in times, and the booking details those systems share, which can include guest names.
- Job records: checklists and answers, notes, voice notes and their transcripts, and check-in locations.
- Photos taken for jobs, with the date, time and location details the camera recorded.
- Messages sent in the app, including photos and voice notes.
- Maintenance records: appliances, issues, work orders, supplies and their costs.
- Billing details: handled by our payment provider. We don't store card numbers.
- Questions sent from the demo: the email address or phone number you give, your question, which sample person you were looking around as and for how long, so we can answer you.
- Technical details: device and browser information, the IP address a visit comes from and the country it points to, notification settings and logs that keep the service secure and working.
We work out which country an IP address is in on our own server, using IP geolocation by DB-IP (licensed under CC BY 4.0). The address isn't sent to anyone for this.
How we use it
- To run the service: create jobs from bookings, guide cleaners through them and share the results with the right people.
- To send notifications by app, email and text message about work you're involved in.
- To grade photos, write out voice notes, read appliance data plates and write summaries using AI services.
- To bill the company that manages the properties.
- To provide support, keep the service secure and improve it.
AI processing
Photos, voice notes and notes are sent to the AI services we use, such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, so they can return results for the features above. We use their business services for this, and we don't sell this content or use it for advertising.
Website analytics and cookies
This website, the demo and the sign-up pages use Google Analytics to count visits and show us which pages people use, so we can improve them. It sends Google the pages you open, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. It's set up never to be used for advertising, and we don't use it inside the app itself, where the work is done.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you choose to accept it: nothing from Google loads and no Google cookie is stored before then. We tell where a visit comes from by the country of its IP address, worked out on our own server as described above, and if we can't tell, we ask. Everywhere else it's on unless you turn it off. Anyone can change their choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of each page.
The cookies involved:
- _ga and _ga_9M48TKDTQL: Google Analytics, to tell one visit from the next. Kept for up to two years, and deleted as soon as you reject analytics cookies.
- str_consent: your answer to the cookie question, so we don't ask on every page. Kept for six months, then we ask again.
Google explains how it handles this information in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also block it in your browser's privacy settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.
Who sees your information
- People in your company, according to their role.
- The companies you work with on a job: for example, the cleaning company assigned to your property sees that job, and an owner sees the report you send them.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting, email delivery, text messaging, payments, AI processing and website analytics.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We don't sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your company uses STR Cleaning App, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, tax or dispute reasons. Photos and job records are kept as a record of the work while your company's account is open. You can ask us to delete information sooner.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. See the SMS terms.
- Turn phone notifications off in your device settings.
- Turn Google Analytics on or off with Cookie settings, at the bottom of each page.
Security
Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Logins for connected booking systems are stored encrypted, and each company sees only its own properties, jobs and invoices.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell account holders about significant changes.
